Material Variants

The modular design of Grundfos CM pumps allows selection from three material constructions to match specific application requirements:

Cast Iron (Type A) Solid and durable construction ideal for washing and cleaning systems, pressure boosting, and chiller applications where corrosion resistance is not critical.

AISI 304 Stainless Steel (Type I) DIN 1.4301 grade stainless steel suitable for water treatment, temperature control systems, pressure boosting, and general washing applications involving non-corrosive liquids.

AISI 316 Stainless Steel (Type G) DIN 1.4401 grade stainless steel offering superior corrosion protection for aggressive liquids in chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage production, and advanced water treatment systems.
